My Chemical Romance, Iron Maiden and Pantera lead Louder Than Life 2026 lineup at Kentucky Expo Center

Four-day rock and metal festival returns to Louisville in September 2026
Louder Than Life has announced its 2026 lineup, with My Chemical Romance, Iron Maiden and Pantera among the top-billed acts for the festival’s return to Louisville. The event is scheduled for Sept. 17–20, 2026, at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Expo Center.
The 2026 edition is set to run across four days, with nightly headliners assigned by day. Iron Maiden is slated to headline Thursday, Sept. 17, followed by My Chemical Romance on Friday, Sept. 18. Limp Bizkit is scheduled to close Saturday, Sept. 19, and Tool is set to headline the final night on Sunday, Sept. 20.
How the daily bill is structured
Organizers have framed the 2026 bill as one of the festival’s largest to date, listing nearly 200 artists across four days and multiple stages. In addition to the headliners, the announcement highlights day-by-day clusters of major touring acts.
Thursday (Sept. 17): Iron Maiden headlines, with Pantera also scheduled for the opening day. Additional featured acts include Alice Cooper, Rise Against, Megadeth and Danzig.
Friday (Sept. 18): My Chemical Romance headlines a day that also includes Pierce the Veil, A Day to Remember, The Used and Coheed and Cambria. A “very special guest” is listed for Friday but has not been identified.
Saturday (Sept. 19): Limp Bizkit headlines, with Sublime and Papa Roach also among the prominently billed acts. Babymetal, Halestorm and In This Moment are also on the day’s slate.
Sunday (Sept. 20): Tool closes the festival, with Gojira, The Prodigy, Danny Elfman, The Mars Volta and Mastodon also announced for the final day.
Pantera’s placement and other notable billing details
Pantera is listed on the opening day alongside Iron Maiden, placing the band in a prominent Thursday slot rather than as a nightly closer. The festival announcement also includes Megadeth on the bill, with the band’s appearance described as part of a farewell tour.
“Nearly 200 artists across four days and seven stages.”
Venue and attendance logistics
Louder Than Life is scheduled to be held at the Kentucky Expo Center (937 Phillips Lane), with festival operations noted as rain-or-shine and programming subject to change. The event is billed as all-ages, with each attendee required to have a pass regardless of age. Re-entry policies vary, with standard day re-entry generally not permitted outside designated camping and certain packaged options.
Ticketing status and what remains unannounced
Festival packages have been placed on sale, while single-day passes have been described as coming later. The most immediate outstanding detail is the identity of Friday’s “very special guest,” which has not yet been disclosed.
