Louisville Metro Police have announced arrests in a January shooting in southwest Louisville that left a teenager with a gunshot wound to the leg. The case centers on a Jan. 5 incident in the St. Denis neighborhood, near the intersection of Dover Road and Benoch Avenue.
Investigators said officers were dispatched shortly before 4 p.m. Jan. 5 on a report of gunfire. At the initial location, police located evidence indicating shots had been fired but did not find an injured person at the scene. Soon afterward, police were notified that Shively officers had encountered a boy believed to be 17 near Crums Lane and Dixie Highway as he attempted to reach medical care by private means. Emergency medical services were called, and the teenager was transported to a hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

Police later identified three suspects in connection with the case, with arrests occurring in early February.
- On Feb. 4, police arrested 21-year-old Jiantanez Rutledge. He was charged with three counts of robbery in connection with the same investigation.
- On Feb. 9, police announced the arrests of 18-year-old Ke’Shon Davis and a second male described as a juvenile. Both were charged with assault and wanton endangerment.
The arrests follow a public request for help issued Jan. 8, when police released images of a vehicle and individuals believed to be connected to the shooting and asked for tips that could assist in identifying those involved.
