Louisville man faces felony charges after four-shot shooting at private lounge in Klondike neighborhood

Arrest follows early-morning shooting that sent four victims, including a juvenile, to the hospital
A Louisville man has been charged in connection with a shooting inside a private lounge in the city’s Klondike neighborhood that injured four people earlier this month.
Louisville Metro Police arrested 32-year-old Ezekiel Dean on Jan. 19, 2026, on a warrant. He is charged with three counts of assault and one count of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Dean was expected to appear for arraignment on Jan. 20, 2026.
What investigators say happened
Police were called to a reported shooting at about 5:32 a.m. on Jan. 4, 2026, at Lenny’s Lounge in the 3700 block of Klondike Lane. Officers arriving at the location found a chaotic scene and two young adults who had been shot. Those two victims were transported to University of Louisville Hospital.
Police later learned that two additional victims arrived at other hospitals by private vehicle and were then rerouted to University of Louisville Hospital. The four victims included three young adults between 18 and 21 years old and a 17-year-old. At the time of the initial police briefing, one victim was reported in critical condition; updated conditions for the remaining victims were not publicly specified.
Separate arrest of lounge owner and licensing scrutiny
Following the shooting, the lounge’s owner, 39-year-old James Conner, was arrested on an allegation of violating a domestic violence order by possessing a firearm. Police said that charge was unrelated to the shooting investigation.
In addition, city Alcoholic Beverage Control officials initiated an emergency suspension investigation connected to the incident at the lounge. The ABC process is separate from the criminal case and generally focuses on compliance and public-safety requirements tied to licensed alcohol operations.
Where the case stands
The criminal charges against Dean are allegations that will be tested in court. In Kentucky, assault charges can range in severity based on factors such as the level of injury and circumstances described in the charging documents. The felon-in-possession allegation is a separate firearms offense.
