A redesign aimed at modern breading lines

AyrKing, a Louisville-based manufacturer of commercial food preparation equipment, has rolled out a redesigned version of its 2934-series Breader Blender Sifter, a breading-table system used in high-volume kitchens to blend, sift and reuse dry breading mixtures during fried-food preparation.

The updated family is designated the BBSUL2934A. The original 2934-series model was introduced in 2012 as an expansion of the company’s BBS lineup. The redesigned unit keeps the same overall footprint as earlier versions, a decision intended to allow operators to replace or upgrade equipment without reworking existing kitchen layouts.

What the Breader Blender Sifter does in a commercial kitchen

The Breader Blender Sifter is designed to automate tasks that are often handled manually in breading workflows. The equipment blends seasonings through breading, sifts used breading back into the station, and helps remove “dough balls” that can form during repeated use. AyrKing markets the BBS platform as a way to reduce hand-sifting time and reduce waste by extending the usable life of breading mixtures.

As part of the product’s core operation, the BBS uses a sifter brush that functions as an auger, blending ingredients while also separating and ejecting clumps. The company describes this as a quiet, non-vibrating approach aimed at consistent results.

Key changes in the 2934-series redesign

  • A new shelf system designed for quick attachment and removal, intended to make accessory pairing easier across different workflows.

  • An optional over-shelf that is now removable, enabling buyers to add it later or omit it when space constraints or process flow do not require it.

  • An updated doughball chute intended to reduce how frequently the waste container must be emptied during operation.

  • Changes to the sliding lug tray and tubing to simplify operator access to reclaimed dry breading.

Compatibility with automated breading equipment

The redesign also reflects growing interest in integrating multiple pieces of equipment into a single breading station. AyrKing says the updated shelf approach improves pairing options with its DrumRoll Automated Breader, an automatic breading machine intended to replace manual hand-breading with a repeatable process inside a rotating drum.

The redesigned 2934-series maintains the same footprint as earlier versions while adding modular features meant to support evolving breading workflows.

Local footprint, global customer base

AyrKing has operated in Louisville since 1972 and lists its address at 2013 Cobalt Drive in Louisville. The company says its equipment is used in more than 100,000 locations worldwide, with significant penetration among large quick-service restaurant operators.

The company has positioned the BBSUL2934A redesign as a platform update—focused less on changing the fundamental breading-and-sifting function and more on improving adaptability, accessory integration, and day-to-day usability for kitchen teams.
